Welcome to Camille Clarke LLC, where your path to wellness is illuminated by my own journey and professional expertise. I am Dr. Camille Clarke-Smith, your guide and ally in transforming your health and life. My story is a testament to the transformative power of fitness and mental resilience, evolving from a teenager grappling with weight and self-esteem issues to a wellness champion and professional guide.

 

My fitness journey began with a deep passion for basketball, which, despite being cut short by an ACL injury, paved the way for my relentless pursuit of physical and mental wellbeing. This drive propelled me into a remarkable educational path, earning a BS in Psychology and Sociology, an MS in Exercise Physiology, and a Doctorate in Education from the University of Pittsburgh. My med school experience was pivotal, shifting my focus from treatment to prevention and holistic health.

 

In 2022, I advanced my commitment to comprehensive wellness by pursuing a Master’s in Social Work. This pursuit complements my role as founder and leader of T.H.A.W Inc., a non-profit dedicated to enhancing the health of African American women, enriching my approach to holistic care.

 

I am not just an academic; I am a proven athlete. Between 2013 and 2015, I competed in figure competitions, earning my status as an OCB Pro and securing a top 3 National NPC Competitor rank. These achievements in the highly competitive world of bodybuilding underscore my dedication to fitness and the discipline required to reach peak physical form.

 

My extensive qualifications, including certifications as a yoga instructor, Titleist Performance Fitness Instructor, Clinical Exercise Physiologist, Poliquin BioSignature Specialist, and Gary Gray Institute Functional Specialist, are integral to creating personalized wellness plans for my clients.

Finding balance physically by strengthening weak muscles, conditioning overdeveloped muscles, increasing flexibility in tight overused joints, so that movement and performance are improved, while decreasing pain and preventing injury.

​Educating self and client about their body, where it is currently, and options in how we can reach clients fitness goals. Clients and trainers/health coaches will be educated, improving along the way to the goal.
